Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude, family, and delicious food. At Harrell Assisted Living Homes, we're grateful for our residents and their families. We understand that the holiday season can be a bittersweet time for many, and it’s important to check in on your loved ones and prioritize mental health.
The holiday season, while often filled with joy and celebration, can also bring about feelings of loneliness, stress, and anxiety. For individuals with intellectual disabilities, these emotions can be particularly challenging to navigate. At Harrell Assisted Living Homes, we’re committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters mental well-being.
Our dedicated staff is trained to recognize the signs of emotional distress and provide appropriate support. We offer a variety of activities and programs designed to promote positive mental health, such as:
Social activities: Group games, outings, and community events
Creative outlets: Art therapy, music therapy, and other creative pursuits
Physical exercise: Fitness classes and outdoor activities
By providing opportunities for social interaction, self-expression, and physical activity, we strive to enhance the overall well-being of our residents.
We’re open every day, from 8 AM to 8 PM, including Thanksgiving Day, to facilitate visits and strengthen family bonds. Our dedicated staff will be on hand to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for both residents and visitors.
As always, our commitment to providing exceptional care and support remains unwavering. We’re thankful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents and their families.
