This June, we are thrilled to invite our residents, families, and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to participate in one of the most inspiring events of the year: the Special Olympics Pennsylvania Summer Games. From June 4 – June 6, thousands of athletes from across the state will gather at Penn State University in State College, PA to compete, grow, and celebrate.

For the week of May 25 – May 31, we are spotlighting a rewarding volunteer opportunity at MANNA (Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance). This Philadelphia-based organization is a leader in providing medically tailored meals to neighbors battling critical illnesses.

Taking place from May 19–20 in Harrisburg, this summit is a vital platform for individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and their supporters to influence health policy and promote inclusive care standards.

Volunteering for day program support is a high-impact way to provide the Social Scaffolding our community needs. For volunteers and participants alike, it’s an opportunity for Gaining a New Skill in communication and social navigation.
