Summer in the Philadelphia area brings long, sunny days and wonderful opportunities to explore our local parks, neighborhood spots, and vibrant tri-state communities. However, rising temperatures and high humidity mean that professional caregivers, Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), and family members must elevate their standard of clinical vigilance.

For decades, conversations surrounding autism focused primarily on "awareness." While understanding the diagnostic definitions of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is an important first step, awareness alone is no longer the destination. True inclusion requires us to step past simple acknowledgment and move fully into a high standard of Acceptance, Autistic Pride, and the celebration of individual brilliance.
